Horse sense is the thing a horse has which keeps it from betting on people. W C Fields
The cradle rocks above an abyss, and common sense tells us that our existence is but a brief crack of light between two eternities of darkness. Vladimir Nabokov
Ivonprefontaine has a nice phrase from his wife Kathy in a comment on my last post about…
David is someone I follow and he wrote about an issue close to my heart- uncommon common sense.
When we are in Spokane, I go to a small bagel shop for breakfast some mornings and they have a sign that reads “If you are on your cell phone, finish your call, and let us serve the next customer in line until then.” That is the uncommon common sense Kathy speaks of. Greet the person in front of you, including the one in the mirror, as if they are important to you.
I love this! Thank you!
You are welcome. I was grateful to David for posting it.
Love this, and so true!
I do to. Thank you.
