Denise Levertov wrote this beautiful reminder for me. I awaken and grow aware of the world I live in and with. I only need make the effort to open my eyes, my mind, and my heart
Sometimes the mountain
is hidden from in veils
of cloud, sometimes
I am hidden from the mountain
in veils of inattention, apathy, fatigue,
when I forget or refuse to go
down to the shore or a few yards
up the road, on a clear day, to reconfirm
that witnessing presence.

About ivonprefontaine
I have been an educator for almost 20 years. Prior to that, I worked in private industry for 15 years, then returned to university to earn my education degree. For the past 11 years, I have been a co-creator of learning in a unique, progressive, alternative educational school of choice. Currently, I am engaged in a doctoral program at Gonzaga University in Spokane. A main theme in my learning there has been the roles of systems thinking, complexity theory, and organizational theory, and how they apply to education generally and the learning environment I share with students, parents, and colleagues.
Wonderful, thought provoking post and prose.
Thank you Cindy.

Thank you and Blessings to you Lizzie.
In that forgetting we are separated from the divine.
We, at least I do, forget that we are all part of whole that we always are witnessing if we open our eyes and hearts.
Very Nice. Really Excellent. Admirable for you Insights.
Thank you so much.
