Japanese Garden in Portland

ivonprefontaine:

Kathy and I visited Portland several times and this is one of our favourite spots along with the Rose Gardens which are only a short distance away. On a cold, blustery day, this is a warming spot for the first day of the New Year.

About ivonprefontaine

I have been an educator for almost 20 years. Prior to that, I worked in private industry for 15 years, then returned to university to earn my education degree. For the past 11 years, I have been a co-creator of learning in a unique, progressive, alternative educational school of choice. Currently, I am engaged in a doctoral program at Gonzaga University in Spokane. A main theme in my learning there has been the roles of systems thinking, complexity theory, and organizational theory, and how they apply to education generally and the learning environment I share with students, parents, and colleagues.

  2. Thank you for liking “Timepieces for the New Year.” I enjoyed looking at this beautiful tree. The colors of the leaves and the shapes of the branches are a visual delight. Thank you for sharing it, and I hope you have a Happy New Year! :)

    • You will not be disappointed and the Rose Gardens are within walking distance if memory serves me correctly. You can spend a good portion of the day up there.
