When we enjoy something fully and are present in the moment, it is not work. Alan Watts proposed this is the real secret to life.
βThis is the real secret of life β to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.β Alan W. Watts
When I’m making a big art project, nothing else exists. There is no time, no place, there’s just the moment and if I start in the morning, I suddenly wonder why I can’t see anymore…because night has fallen and taken me by surprise.
When I watch our grandson, he is a great role model for what that is like and he is only 3. He gets lost in his play.
I find those moments are few and far between but the more pleasurable for that.

I see your photos with your family and you make the most of those moments. Hugs back.

we learn
through play
We definitely do, even as adults.
