I love Mary Oliver’s poetry. It says so much on an essential level of who we are as humans. This stanza reminded me of the old Bee Gees song and the line about “Words are all I have to take your heart away.” Thank you Coco for the original post.

Fires For The Cold
All Things Pass
I enrolled in a class called the Tao of Leadership. It contrasts Eastern philosophy and contemporary Western management and is based in part on the writing of Lao Tzu. This is a beautiful poem about the need to let go and let things emerge differently. When we grasp it is not leadership. It is an illusion.
Radiating Blossom ~ Flowers & Words
A sunrise does not last all morning
All things pass
A cloudburst does not last all day
All things pass
Nor a sunset all night
All things pass
What always changes?
Earth…sky…thunder…
mountain…water…
wind…fire…lake…
These change
And if these do not last
Do man’s visions last?
Do man’s illusions?
Take things as they come
All things pass
Beautiful Swan Feathers – Henry David Thoreau
Perspective helps us to see the new lands with new eyes. We have always lived in this world and the ordinary can be transformed into the extraordinary. Thank you Ajay for a beautiful image and quote from Thoreau.
A Butterfly – Ajaytao
The imagery of the pictures and the Henry David Thoreau and Maya Angelou quotes are a great way to begin the day. Be happy.
Haiku: SHEPHERD
If the world had more shepherds tending their flocks, would be able to keep the real and figurative wolves away from the door? This is a beautiful haiku and picture that brings this to life.
Priceless therapy
It has been raining here and I got a chance to walk home in it last night from class. There was a pretty spectacular light show at the same time. Nature is such an inspiring place.
Photo du Jour #87: Sail Away – Santorini
I enjoy Mark Twain`s wit and wisdom. It is refreshing to begin today with his words inscribed onto this beautiful picture to bring them alive.
Powerful Quote #47 : Education
These are two excellent questions. Neither one asks about information or knowledge. They both suggest there is a genius in us that is deeper than that. I am not sure we teach it per se, but we can certainly be role models and offer paths to this type of learning that currently do not exist in our educational system.
When our educational content do not have love, compassion, morality and wisdom, what else then we are teaching the kids? What is the use of creating any genius without these virtues?

Blessed…
This is a great quote to begin the day. I am off to Spokane within the next hour or so. It seems like a journey, perhaps there is a divine nature to it.
Known is a drop, Unknown is an Ocean
Blessed by being born as human on this day,
Blessed by guidance of light of wisdom within,
Blessed by all your love in this eternal journey… 🙂
Quarter moon
I meant to re-blog this a few months ago. I noticed it again on the weekend as a I was tidying up some digital folders. The short poem talks about the navigating or voyaging through verse like we are amongst the clouds. This journey takes us to a child-like world and a place lost in innocence.
Voguer sur des vers
Comme sur un croissant de lune
Dans les nuages,
Voguer en pays d’enfance,
Terre perdue d’innocence.
