It’s a Matter of Perspective

When I talk to students, this is something I try remind them of when they are struggling with how long things take. It is so much better to look ahead and be in the present moment.

About ivonprefontaine

I completed a PhD at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Previously, I taught for 20 years and spent the last 14 years teaching in an incrediable hybrid school setting. My dissertation topic and research were how teachers experience becoming who teachers, as human subjects. For me, teaching is a calling and vocation that allows me to express who I am as a person. Currently, I am waiting and listening to what will call me. We have begun a small consulting and leadership firm called Rocky River Leadership & Consulting Ltd.

  1. I so agree with you Ivon, I try to teach them to see the vision and strive their hardest to achieve it no matter how long it may take. Beautiful message my brother! I am so happy to read your posts again!

  2. Ivon, I may have shared this but two of my children are educators; your post(s) are outstanding, all enjoyable to read. Ann

    • Thank you Ann. Roland Barth, himself an educator, wrote that we should allow people to repeat their stories because it is what they hold close to their heart. Even if you had told me, it is nice to hear it again.
